2021 NT Annual Full Council Meeting & AGM


All NT COGSO affiliates were invited to attend the Annual Full Council and AGM for 2021, on Saturday 4 September at Darwin Airport Resort.

School Council and Board members representing families and school communities from across the NT travelled to Darwin to advocate for quality public education.

Delegates were greeted by didgeridoo played by Trent Lee and were Welcomed to Country by Larrakia Elder Bilawara Lee.

Dr. Miriam-Rose Ungunmerr Baumann AM was our guest speaker and shared her experiences and wisdoms of Northern Territory Education.

"Thanks to Miriam for her insight into mindfulness, spirituality and passing on culture. My takeaway was 'engaging with families - making them feel they belong'." 

Minister for Education Lauren Moss and Department of Education Chief Executive Karen Weston engaged with participants in an interactive Workshop to consider and discuss What can schools, services and the education system do to engage all young people in learning?'

"Thank you to the team for an outstanding event. It was a great opportunity to learn what NTCOGSO is all about and I can't wait to share with other parents."

All NT COGSO affiliates were invited to attend the Annual Full Council and AGM for 2020, held Saturday 7 November at Darwin Airport Resort.

School Council and Board members representing families and school communities from across the NT travelled to Darwin to advocate for quality public education.

"It was great to see more of the big picture.... how important it is and the strength of what everyone can achieve, be it in a large school in Darwin with thousands of students or a remote school with thirty."
