Quorum is the minimum number of people who must be present at a meeting to conduct official business.
Quorum for a School Representative Body Meeting is half of the current elected members.

No business shall be discussed or decided unless a quorum of the School Representative Body is present. If a quorum is not present the meeting must be postponed to a later date when a quorum can be present.

Quorum for a School Representative Body remains the same for an Annual General Meeting, General Meeting, Special General Meeting and for Out of Session Decision Making.

The Chair is responsible for ensuring that quorum is met prior to a meeting being opened.

Knowing your Constitution and maintaining an up to date Members Register will assist the School Representative Body to calculate what constitutes a quorum.
